Kol Simkha Choir

Tzedekah – the ethical obligation to be charitable and perform good deeds – is integral to Jewish life and to our Religious School program.

One way our youngest members experience the unselfish joy of giving to others is by lending their voices to our Kol Simkha Choir.  Students in the second through seventh grades, volunteer to bring the uplifting power of music to members of the Long Island community. The children sing both secular and non-secular songs to the elderly in assisted living facilities, children in hospitals, our neighbors at Chanukah candle-lighting ceremonies, and our own congregation. Their spirited voices lovingly fill, not just the rooms they visit, but the hearts of those who have the privilege to hear them.

Our Kol Simkha choir participates and sings at  Temple Tikvah's Family Shabbat and holiday services. Kol Simkha rehearsals take place on Sunday mornings at 9:00am at Temple Tikvah (on religious school days).

Kol Simkha Choir is led by our song leader, Kathryn Kitt. If your child is interested in joining our Kol Simkha Choir, please email Kathryn at kathryn@templetikvah.org.
