· Towels to be sent to the INN in Hempstead
Mitzvah Daysat the Temple involve the entire congregation, including our Youth Groups. Recent activities have included:

· Collecting prom dresses, make up and accessories for young women
· Creating cards, letters and small gifts for others
· Helping Temple members who need assistance with rides
· Creating care packages for soldiers
· Greening” our community
Here are some quotes from the soldiers in the 3190th PSYOP unit after receiving a batch of letters, cards and boxes:
SFC Thomas Share, Army
“Thank you for the care packages and the letters and cards from the children, it means so much to us here. It is so nice to see that there are people who care about
us at home.”
SFC Jeff Davis, USMC
“ Thank you and the children for the care packages. I hope you know how grateful we are here. Tell the kids their letters were passed around and everyone enjoyed them very much we read them all, and shared all the delicious cookies. God Bless you all.”
PFC Stacy Roberts, USMC/ with the Army
“Thank you for thinking of the 310th PSYOP out here in Afghanistan. Our guys really appreciate all of the goodies, cards and letters. I am the only girl in this camp so I really enjoyed the female goodies. I did give away some to my fellow female soldiers in other camps. Again, thank you so much for remembering us. God Bless you all”
